Tarlabaşı Solidarity Group: Community in action
On May 2019, Tarlabaşı Solidarity Group, an NGO that advocates for the rights of working migrant communities, particularly Istanbul’s African minority settling in the infamous Tarlabaşı ghetto, launched a media campaign to raise awareness against the gentrification projects threatening the neighborhood. And what better way to invite conversation and communal solidarity against migrant evictions than through public street dinners. Here is their story (Click on the photo on the left).
